Epimedium 'Red Maximum'
This
wonderful new cultivar from Koen van Poucke is a cross between E. grandiflorum 'Freya'
and E.
membranaceum.
Dark burgundy flowers with bright spur tips.
Good autumn coloring.
Evergreen.
Height 35 cm.
Epimedium rhizomatosum
This Chinese species produces flowers over a very long period.
The flowering period can last until September. Obviously, the
species passed this characteristic to the following hybrids with E.
wushanense.
It occurs in Sichuan at altitudes above 2000 m.
Creeping rhizome.
Height 30 cm.
Evergreen.
E. rhizomatosum is now treated as a synonym of Epimedium
membranaceum.

Daniëlle Monbaliu runs a perennial nursery in Oostkamp (Belgium)

Epimedium 'Rik'
A
cultivar named after the Belgian plantsman Hendrik (Rik) Van
Bogaert.
Free-flowering.
The flower color is nearly similar to E. 'Amber Queen', but the
flowers are a little smaller and with shorter spurs.
Evergreen.

A brand new (2016) cultivar by Koen van Poucke from Belgium.
Large flowers, large decorative foliage.
Very floriferous.
With very intense flower coloration.

Epimedium x rubrum
A
hybrid of the mid-19th century.
Originating from a cross between the European E. alpinum and
the Japanese E. grandiflorum.
The relatively small (about 2cm), two-tone flowers with white petals
and red sepals appear very numerous.
Very attractive reddish foliage in spring. also nice autumn
coloration.
Popular ground cover, which remains rather compact due to the short
rhizomes and does not spread like other "real groundcovers".
Semi-evergreen.
